Alligator Alley

1321 E Commercial Blvd
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33334
954-771-2220
Website
It's tough to get a seat in the Alley, but the tender, deep-fried Buffalo alligator makes it worth the attempt. This “native Florida” restaurant and bar is about the size and shape of your average luncheonette. But the experience is enhanced here by several things: live music every night, draft Florida microbrew beer, and some of the best gumbo and chili you'll have this side of Louisiana. Top choices for poorboys include the fried oyster version or the one made with pork that's been smoked on the premises.
